The Trinity Dance Twilight CPD Programme is available in either dance or gymnastics as after school staff training.

Staff Twilight CPD Training Based Across Kent and East Sussex

Covering both key stage one and two curriculums, the training is designed to upskill and broaden the knowledge of the teachers in your school, build their confidence, and harness their understanding on how to deliver dance and gymnastic lessons.

What will the training cover?

A general overview of dance or gymnastic subject knowledge
The benefits of dance or gymnastics in the curriculum
Why we should deliver certain dance or gymnastics activities and the principles behind them
Key dance or gymnastics vocabulary
How to structure an effective dance or gymnastics lesson and unit of work
How to build our confidence in planning and deliver high quality lessons
How to engage the unengaged students
The music options available and how they can support us
How to adapt an activity to meet everyone’s learning style or catering for SEND students

The 2 hour session will be broken down into group discussions and practical tasks to demonstrate the key areas of the course. From understanding the basics of the subject including vocabulary and skills, to learning how best to plan and structure a PE lesson, the aim of the twilight session is to equip the staff with a greater understanding of delivering two subjects that are an integral part of the National Curriculum.

Trinity Dance is a mobile coaching company that can travel to you if you are based in the Kent and East Sussex areas.

The Trinity Dance community is growing and has already worked with 22 primary and secondary schools to improve their dance, gymnastics and cheerleading provision.
