CPD Teacher Training

As well as the teacher learning and developing their knowledge, the children in the class will be participating in a fun, engaging lesson as a part of their normal PE timetable. 

What will the teacher gain from the CPD training?

• The fundamentals behind a dance or gymnastics lesson 
• How to structure a lesson plan and unit of work
• New games, activities and ideas to keep the children engaged 
• Definition of specific dance and gymnastics vocabulary
• The benefits of an effective dance or gymnastics lesson
• How to engage the unengaged students 
• An understanding of why we are delivering a certain activity and the principles behind them
• How to adapt a lesson plan to suit different learning styles and abilities 
• The music options available and how they can support our teaching

 The teacher will be equipped with a full scheme of work that can be used in future teaching. The programme will be tailored to suit each school and teacher depending on what they would like to take away from the training. These schemes of work can be adapted to incorporate other subjects and will provide the teacher with all the information they need in a simple format to deliver the lessons going forward. 

Support will be available to the member of staff after the CPD training. They will be able to email Trinity Dance, should they have any further questions or requests after the training. 

Extra-curricular clubs can also be delivered at an additional cost on the same day as the CPD training.
